FLUMMOX
Perplex (someone) greatly; bewilder. To bemuse
‘Flummox’ puzzles a masculine outlook with a sense of delicacy within the colour palette. The collection encompasses minimalistic pieces with complex, technical detail. The origins of the consistent silhouette in Flummox draws from an archetype within clothing history, known as ‘Tobi pants’. Tobi refers to both Tobu and tobiguchi, ‘to jump’ and a tool traditionally used in Japan (Gordenker, 2005). The Japanese construction workers within the high rise scaffolding industries are now referred to as tobi.
Although this is a Menswear released collection the garments are genderless. Flummox aims to be worn by enthusiasts of sustainability, those that like the idea of biodegradable and upcycled materials. Those interested in more technical detail with an overarching minimalistic design. Those that seek luxe in their potential day, street and business wear.
Those that have interest in clothing not just because they must wear it.
