The design Chromo Daze displays
a silhouette interpreting a daze, unable to think nor react properly. Through the abstract influence of the concept the design aims to ‘heal’ its own daze through colour or what’s known officially on medical terms as Chromotherapy (Oxfordlanguages, 2022).

A daze in the perspective of a pattern is organic and original, symbolising dizziness or hallucination. The original print fabric is chosen to be skintight using scuba, replicating a second skin which overtakes the organic skin, growing in its silhouette as the pattern emerges over half the face like a illness. The design heroes a geometrical shape, contrasting against a natural body and focusing on a future retrospect of sustainability and the ability to recycle. The look is inspired by the strong geometric silhouettes of Moncler 5 - Craig Greens 2019 collection, the palette of Blumarines Spring 2022 collection and the textures of Diesels Fall 2022 looks (Vogue, 2022).
By experimenting with the manipulation of a silhouette the jacket holds the hero as a representation of the medical cross. The symbol in honour of Henry Dunant, a swiss humanitarian who inspired the international committee of the Red cross, an inverse of
the Swiss flag (Shetty & Dsouza, 2014). Due to the iconic and internationally recognised symbol the choice for the cross as the hero of the silhouette has proven significance.
With a focus on sustainable practices, Leather jacket adds to
the sustainability through the use of by-products of the meat and dairy industry. The Jacket is designed to be made of leather and the undergarment pants too are made of leather (spraypaint applied). Through upcycling, the pants use 3 pairs of old jeans and 3 old jackets to produce a pair of pants, bleached to a range of blue- white tints. By treating the denim it’s allowed for a ‘soft streetwear’ palette, lighter then the usual monochrome of streetwear whilst incorporating light shades of primary tones.

Chromo Daze represents a convergence of the value of Medics internationally, with the abstract perspective to heal, developing a silhouette which resembles sustainable fashion of the future.
